6000 PRO XL or DFX for beach hunting?

I normally hunt the water with my White's PI but when the surf is too heavy or I feel like searching w/out wearing all the cold-water gear I have to decide to use my XL PRO or the DFX. Should I stick with the DFX on the beach and save the XL PRO for my dry land hunting? I have been useing the DFX but I'm not sure the XL PRO can handle the wet sand as well as the DFX. Any thoughts?
