I've heard alot about the old 6000/Di series so I barrowed a friends old coinmaster and was not disappointed. This old blue unit needs a good cleaning and tune-up,some of the knobs don't turn as much as they should, but I was able to balance it and try my luck a a charter school nearby. The 8 inch coil allowed me get in close to some of the metal benchs and half oak barrels.I was able to fine afew clad coins and a nice worn gold-plated heart locket. The school was having a Hollween party and I was asked to leave at that time so I'll be going back this morning to look a few more keepers.I be keeping the coinmaster for a few weeks.I think i'll be looking for a used XL/Pro soon.I'll keep you posted on how this unit works. Now I just need to figuire how to make my dital camera work I'll be posting pictures soon also.Brian.
