6000/Di Series 3

New member
I just bought an "as new" Sears/White's detector a couple weeks ago. Today on a local ad paper I saw a 6000/Di Series 3 for sale. I called the guy and he emailed me several pictures of the unit. Short story is....
Its been in the family since new. Only a couple of them played with it a few times. It was put away years ago and never touched till a few days ago. The family member that has it now, actually wanted to use it and got new batteries etc. and fired it up. His problem is ...he is tone deaf and cant hear about 80 % of the signal noise. With or without headphones. Ill see it in the morning. He says it "looks" new and "works"
perfectly. .................He is asking a firm $150.00. From what Ive seen on Ebay etc. that's a good price if its actually as good as he says and looks as good as the pix show it. Ya think??
Ill let you know tomorrow! I may have two mint old White's!

in it's time it was one hell of a coin sniper!..i owned one back in the early 80's it found me a ton of coins!
if you do buy it,you really should get a small coil for it,so you can use it effectively in the trash!..i would go after the 6" coil
it will get better separation with that detector in the junk!..the price is good if it's in the condition you say it's in!

good luck!
