just picked one up and looking to get back to hunting it came with the 9.5 coil any suggestions or recommendations i have used the fisher cz6a so i prefer the analog over the digital

Andy set your signal balance before you GB ........ The SB control is for the return signal to the coil.. If it sounds erratic after turning above the preset mark.back off and re GB..Always Ground Balance if moving the signal Balance control........... make sure you are clear of targets when you air, waist high and GB the unit to the ( Lowwer) coil to the ground.

One other thing..The Whites signals sound good on discriminated in targets,and bad, or broken , on targets below your disc point..


Zinc and a lot of Indian Head pennies read on the meter to the left of Dime Penny on screen.. .. So do some screw caps (UHHH Sorry ) But watching the scale the reading is a little different.
Same with Silver and clad dimes Silver Dimes ring a point or two Higher on the scale within the dime reading area on the screen..


In a heavy trash area lock your Gb.... and do not use tracking.. You will find more targets and get better hits...

took unit out this morning found 27 cents one quarter and 2 pennies in about 15 minutes meter is dead on it was fun looking forward to many more outings

If you don't know already, after setting Signal Balance, hold the detector in the air and hold toggle button on air till it beeps, then put coil on ground and move toggle to Auto Track till it beeps than you are ready to go. If it's real trashy set the toggle to lock.
