6000 di pro sl instability issues

Just wondering if anyone else has encountered stabilty problems using the 6000, xl pro etc. I hunt many sites with high mineralization, lots of iron, and electrical interference and so on.
I have found many areas that i just cannot stabilize threshold and eliminate false signals from both audio and meter jumping.
It is my understanding that the sensitivity is set high and you only adjust the pre amp gain with the signal balance on these detectors.
I've used a number of detectors and have an XLT ,Eagle Spectrum and modified IDX Pro and almost always achieve an excellent to good level of threshold and meter stability with little to zero falsing, but the 6000 di pro has problems at many of these sites.
Also wondering if sensitivity can be adjusted on the 6000 Di Pro sl if that is the problem. This detector has recently been serviced at Whites Service Center and checked out OK. Appreciate any input from experienced users. Thanks in advance. HH Bill

A few years ago, I had erratic performance and it ended up being a bad coil.

Also, in the past, I had to send in my detector to White's for warranty work and they sent it back as being OK. Well, it was not OK and it was sent in a second time and finally repaired correctly. It is possible that your metal detector has not yet been repaired correctly. Kelley (Texas) :)
