Whats a 6000 di pro sl complete including a rechargeable battery that works in nice shape estimated worth if selling?

Those machines still have a big following. I have had 2 of those units. I think it is worth no less than 250.00. The right person will pay more

Correct. But "big" is subjective :) The odds of any of those members of "big" scouting the classified and "bidding against each other at the same time" is hard to put a finger on. But as for those that love theirs and would never part ? Yes :)

And when looking at those finished auctions of the unit, notice that not all of them are the latest incarnation of di pro SL. Most of them are the earlier versions from the late '70s to early '90s, before the final incarnation had come out. The last one was the most popular, and would sell for the most on ebay. While the earlier blue box and bouyant coil types are .... uh.... rather dated. You had to swing them fast, blah blah.

I love MY XL-PRO as it is the last small box version. It is a fun detector to use. Sure it won't compete with my Etrac or CZ-3D on raw depth,But with a Bigfoot coil can cover a lot more ground faster when clad and jewelry hunting. Also has that famous Whites ''dead nuts'' analog meter that locks on a coin it is a coin! This detector reminds Me why I got into the hobby in the first place to have fun!

Heres mine.I picked her up for a good price. She's as close to new as you can get.I couldn't find a mark on it.I love these old whites.I use them all and also collect them, this one is a keeper for sure.

Wow that's what you call mint...either a closet queen or new old stock buried in an old Whites dealers backroom...A while back picked up an Explorer XS as nice...

There is one of these sitting in a pawnshop near where I work. They have had it sitting behind the counter for months but don't seem interesting in selling it.
It did have an XLT sitting with it, but I came in on a day when the old man who normally runs that section was busy. I asked the younger guy behind the counter about it and he said it didn't work, and they were going to send it off to White's. I asked if I could buy it, and I practically had to beg him to give me a price. When he finally did he said $100. I said "sold"!

Turns out the only thing wrong with it was it was missing the battery holder.

Yesterday I noticed they had a Classic ID in the front window missing the arm cuff. I asked the old man about it and he said "you don't want that, it doesn't work". I told him I fix detectors and again, practically had to beg for a price.
$250!
"For a broken detector?!" I said. "Yup, broken" he said. No thanks...
