6000 di pro,,sens. knob problem

lint

New member
I put some mods on my 6000,, When putting back together..I just lined up all the control knobs to the left as in number one or off and so on . but the sens. knob doesn't work that way.So I put it on ,That when turned all the way on the line is at 14 but when to the left it runs way past any numbers to about 7 o'clock .and now I cant remember how it was before. Getting old suck's lol Does anyone have one and know if this is right ?I wouldn't worry about it but my wife's grandson is learning on it and I wanted the preset to be on,To make it easier for him....

Hope I put this in the right place??

not sure where the proper setting is but maybe you could split the difference,,that is to say with knob currently in 7oclock position-remove knob and put back on at the nine oclock position...visually that would appear to put the P closer to the center of knob radiuos....the other thing you could try is if you have ground balanced in your back yard and know about where the knob ussually ends up after ground balancing in that specific location you could adjust the difference as to previous ground balance...

The white normal range is just a suggested where to start point... The knob goes all the way back to the left for start of sens control.. Into the low iron range if I recall right..

Thanks bootyhoundpa
Yeah ,that's what I was going to do,,put it at 9 oclock . but then I found 2 people today that had 6000 Di pros and both knobs are at 7 counterclockwise and 5 clockwise. so that could be where it goes .. unless there both wrong too ....LOL

And Thanks Elton .I guess it doesn't matter where the knob is . you still have too fine tune it.I remember sending and older Whites back to have it recalibrated and check out . and the set numbers on the Disc. Was at different points for nickels to cut out.
