6 x 10 Eclipse !

Would this coil be a good choice for hunting Relics in wooded areas, and would it give me the same depth as th 10"DD coil ?

It is a real good coil for woods hunting but the D2 is deeper. For comparison reasons, the depth of an elliptical coil is equivalent to a round coil of the smallest side. (6 inches)

I use all the coils and the 6x10 is one of the most used. It's lighter than the D2, separates targets like a champ, best coil for jewelry, and covers ground decent and depth is good. Like Larry said.....it is a perfect choice for woods and moderate brambles where you need good separation. (On uneven hills and in heavier brush, the 5.3 concentric is better though.....as you just have to "poke and swirl" to center your target.)
On one other forum I've seen people saying that depth with the 6x10 is close to the D2 (?)...... but no way will it "stretch down" on the iffys as well and I won't use it where there is the deepest stuff and ground is smoother. No substitute for the D2, 950, or 12" concentric here.......missed too many "iffys". (It still is my second most used coil.)

As Larry stated, the 6x10 will get the depth of a 6" round coil. A 4.5x7 will get the depth of a 4.5 round coil. This information we have gotten from Whites.

The 6x10 is a great coil but not when you are looking for maximum depth. It is my trashy park coil. [attachment 218387 Untitled-1.jpg]

Not a V3 owner but use the MXT & with it the D2 is not much deeper than the 6x10 in fact I find more coins at greater depth with the 6x10 than I do with the D2. Am I doing somethin wrong with the D2 even in a air test the D2 only gets 1/2 inch more if that? I ground it the same way, run it at 4 dis & 10 sens.

That has not been my experience with the V3i.[attachment 218403 Untitled-1.jpg]

You might want to get your D2 checked out Bula.

I use the 6X10 a lot on my MXT. As others have stated it may not be quite as deep as some of the others mentioned, but the separation and coverage are quite good and the depth is definitely decent for its size.
