6 silver dimes today and 18 wheat pennies.. The E-Trac worked great!

Sonny, such results should prove the capabilities of the E-Trac to those who are contemplating buying one.

I enjoy my detecting with this unit, even if I don't always find the more desirable targets.

I know now that I have the one of the best detectors available for both land and beach.

You just have to realise how far to 'push' it, in any particular set of conditions.

On the beach the other day, I struggled in poor conditions of water logged sand and gale conditions when I over sensitised my unit.

Eventually I dropped into Auto Sense + 3, and immediately she began cruising quietly and effectively.

Soon I was digging those soft signals and recovering some good targets.

What audio do you use? Thanks...Trackerman

I used minelabs coin mode and another program which was almost all metal. threshold was 18, volume limit 21, vol. gain 24, viability 25, and 30. threshold pitch ,10. I went half the day with 4 tone, and other half with multi tones. Not sure which I like the best. With 4 tones seeems like no nickles as I catch myself cherry picking for silver...These coins were all pretty deep as this place has been hunted before. I use to just take a plug of about up to 4 inches and got most all. Now I have to take a plug then start digging deeeeep....I am pretty impressed up to this point. The other day found a barber dime and 1887 indian head penny at a park that we have been in many times. I also have Andy's book on the way....Also using the 11 inch coil even though I have the 8 in. sunray and a joey coil on the way which will be here today.. Hard not to use the standard coil ,seems to be working pretty good....Sonny
