6 Rings for me today. And more interesting things!!

Hit two of my favorite lakes today and had a surprise waiting for me at the second one when we got out!! Anybody venture to guess?? Two more police cars!! I was back at the lake they just LOVE to call the police on me where I have WRITTEN permission. That's EIGHT times now the millionaires have tried to spoil my fun. LOL well the police saw my permission slip. Told EVERYBODY standing around to leave me alone and they were putting an END to coming out. LOL lets see how that works!!

Anyway found another Hudinson bottle, this one from Detroit, a 1 inch Craftsman socket, an old Tootsietoy car, a Chevrolet token 10 Bucks, a small Dyno-mite cap pistol, and the brass frame to a coin purse. I knew what it was, rescanned where it was laying and not a single coin!! RATS.

Then we move on to the other lake. There I found a 10K ring inscribed To my Darling Helen, 2 silver rings 2 brass rings and an aluminum ring. The aluminum ring has a pair of socks on the top and says Red Sox, on the sides it has crossed bats with a ball above them. A 1939 quarter and a war nickle were the rest of my silver finds. Three wheat's oldest is 1918, an old brass lure, a toy car and a rusted jackknife were also found along with a lot of new change.

Kevin will post his finds tomorrow.

Was another great day in the water. The police liked our finds!! My ring is 3.78 grams or 74.00 in gold. Will post pictures soon. Thanks for reading.

Good thing you had written permission. Although...you would think the cops would show up at the door of the repeat caller an threaten to arrest them for unnecessarily diverting public safety.

Dang SD your killing me!!!!! Congrats anyway!!! JJ, tigerhank68

great finds there scooby....maybe time to start pressing harassment charges against that killjoy..... good luck...

Now that's quite a diverse collection of finds. Thanks for the pics and story. You would think that after several failed attempts at getting you kicked out of the lake that the "I own the lake" millionaires would get the hint and give up. I agree with joeb1999 that the police should threaten to arrest the caller if they continue to utilize the police for the personal agenda.

Don't worry about them people sounds like they have to much time on there hands, just keep having fun!!!

LOL I don't worry. Cops didn't even ask for my ID this time! I think the end of being harassed is near! Also where I go in is a PUBLIC right of way! NOTHING anybody can do. I will have to post a picture of some of the houses on this lake! Absolutely CRAZY why anybody would want something that big. Ohh well. Thanks for all the replies. The main reason I love this lake is it is totally untouched. I am the only one that found access to it and I have taken two friends so far. One of them who lets me park my boat in the canal at his house that goes right out into Lake St. Clair.

I am pulling silver coins back to the late 1800's and gold rings and its sooo close to Detroit. I don't want to bring bad publicity to the hobby BUT I also refuse to be pushed around by ANYBODY. (Stubborn EX cop in me)

Ohh well tis life in the big city. I don't bother anyone. I am totally away from everyone when I dive. At this drop-off I am in 10 - 30' of water. At first they complained that I COULD be a child molester and I am diving under their kids. I decided to go there when NOBODY was in the water and they still had to have something to complain about. I hit lots of that lake and I am not even near the association park and they still call the police. Go figure. Any of the 11 thousand lakes in Michigan can have old swim areas that are now nothing but weeds and or sand and nobody uses them anymore. That is why I am successful. I do go to places were people swim now BUT not very often. I love the old bottles, lures, rings and coins and other interesting finds like my civil war bayonet.

Good luck out there and do what you feel is best in any situation you run into.

This almost sounds like Orchard Lake, the residence there are terrible. We use to go jet skiing on that lake and always got harrassed by the locals. Stay safe and I'm glad the police are on your side.

Had a great time; went diving with my friend (SD) last Monday and found a 14k gold wedding band weighing 5.89G's, a small gold earring, a brass religious metal, clad coins, one wheat (1946D), an old lock, a lead towel tag and several odds and ends. Sorry for no pics the camera was left at my fiances school, will send when I have access to camera. The cops were very friendly that were waiting for us to get out of the water. They had no problem with us diving there.:wiggle:

Ahhh Orchard lake. Public access ramp so NOBODY owns the bottom. Just like lake Orion. I don't have problems in those lakes. Old military school on Orchard and you can find civil war bullets till your loaded with lead! Do a little research and you will find John Dillinger lived on Lake Orion. Now where did he dump a Thompson??? And yes I know the snobs on Orchard. I was hired to cut off a pipe in Orchard lake at the country club. INTERESTING bunch of people!! Boy that was 7 or 8 years ago. Time flies when your having fun!

Yes now that Kevin posted, his ring was nice and heavy. And his Sting Ray picked up a small gold earring at a depth that still awes me. I am positive my machine wouldn't have made even a little noise over that thing. I have to admit, anybody with a Tesoro Stingray has one hot little god finder on their hands. The Tigershark is probbly just as sensitive on small gold. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't air test that earring after he brought it out.

Finally got the pictures up from Mondays dive with SD. Shows picture of tiny gold earring found with Tesoro Sting Ray 2 and 14K ring.

Very nice! Interesting assortment of finds :)

The old padlock looks interesting, how would that be?
