Well, I'm a coin hunter, and using Garrett metal Detectors allows me to get the most coins per hunt because of the ability to ID and size so well. I've been using Garrett for 10 years and am looking forward to many more hunts using their detectors. When you look for coins, and I mean lots of them, the law of averages says that amongst the usual clad - silver coins and silver/gold rings also pop up. All those rings shown were found with the GTP 1350 or GTI 1500 on land. About 100 of the coins were found in the water with my water machine, along with other rings not shown.

And all those pennies will eventually buy me gold coin #11.

Working today (and Sunday will be much of the same), would rather be outside 'working' the beach, even if it is pouring down with rain. ;)
Something related to metal detecting to do tomorrow with the kids though, which should be fun. Will try and post a pic of that.....

Yeah I'd love to come to your neck of the woods and hunt. There it's like it was here in the sixties and seventies - virgin territory. I really envy you and enjoy seeing your finds. Takes me back to the good old days here when you could practically scoop the coins up.

I remember back in those days I had gone out west of town to hunt a huge park. As I sat there parked at the curb trying to decide where to go in the park first - I looked down the curb line next to the park that stretched for blocks. I thought, " Bet every beeper swinger has been in such a hurry to get into the park that they've never bothered to hit this curb line."

I spent several hours walking that curb from end to end and wound up with over 400 coins - mostly silver and some real oldies.

A bit of trivia. Portland has the smallest and the largest parks in the U.S. There is a tiny park downtown that is one-square foot in size. Then we have Forest Park that is slightly larger - 5000 acres.

Well done John,
Thats a lot of coins, I wish I could find that many gold nuggets in the same amount of time.
Keep up the good work.
