Howdy all,
Got permission to do several houses. Last night we were supposed to get a inch or so of rain. Turned out to be much less than predicted. And the grass has grown. I don't like to detect in taller grass and dry ground; depth seems to suffer hugely. Think I'll stick with construction sites until we get some more moisture.
None-the-less pulled a few goodies.

First seated for the year. 1887. Very nice shape. Also got a 1874 IH.
Funny thing, I used to rub the dirt of coins to read the date and mint mark. This is a numismatic no-no, and I have many scratched coins to prove the point. Now that my near vision is bad enough that I can't read the dates anyway coins just get dumped to my apron. So when I get home there is a second process of discovery. Certainly wasn't expecting to get a date on the SLQ, or to find the seated dime was in such nice shape... There are benefits to old(er) age. I suspect they become less as time goes on.
