JW..thanks for the info. As always that was fast on the reply.

The 6" Excellerator EQ 2 Pro is a VERY good little coil (IMHO).---It doesn't cover much ground but it's not designed to, it was designed as an excellent (and deep, for it's size) coil for working in high trash areas, and at that it excels.---I've worked areas with both the 11" Pro & 10X12 SEF (both excellent coils also), and then went back over the same area with the 6" Excellerator and pulled silver & copper out that both larger coils had missed.--There was just too many targets (trash) under the larger coils at one time.--A purpose (& effectiveness for different coils).---I'm eager to try the new 6X8 SEF coils to, they should be good as well.---And yeah JW, I got 2 of them on order & comeing (6X8 SEF)--one for me & one for the little lady! --------Del

Thanks D&P-OR, that's what i'm needing for my yard. hunted hard and the finds now come and go here and there. Hope this will pull out the targets amung my trasher locations.

next step is to have a BBQ with some MDing buddies and do a dig in one of the trasher spots. You never know

thanks again and HH

Hello. I have a 6" on order and I can't wait uintil it arrives. Meanwhile I've been hitting my rusted iron patch with a little "blue max dd shooter" on my white's with some luck on real surface stuff. Will the 6" on etrac give substantially more depth? How much for instance inches on say a silver dime? Will the same rules be in effect regarding these little coils when it comes to raising sensitivity and gain for more depth? Regarding settings, would it be counterproductive to run in "fast" mode with such a small coil? Thanks

Curious what is the difference between the 6" EXcelerator and the 6" EXcelerator EQ 2 Pro?

Thanks
-Alex

good Q indeed. Maybe JW can chime in with a reply on that one.

The EQ2 pro is just a label they had referring to Explorer/Quattro 2nd generation. the 6" coils are what I call third generation and are a vast improvement over the the 5" Excelerator.
