6" Excelerater Coil

I just got my Coiltec 6" Excelerator Coil today and I'm going to try it this weekend in some trashy areas that I've hunted with my Tesoro Vaquero to see if I can pull out any more goodies that I've missed on my previous hunts. Anybody use a 6" excelerator coil with their E-Trac??? If so what's your opinion of it on the E-Trac. Thanks , CoinShooter-Craig

The 6" Excelerator coil works very well with the E-Trac. Its very good for trashy areas when the 11" is to big to isolate individual targets, and I don't feel there's been a loss in depth. Enjoy!

I've used my small 6 incher twice in the most trashy areas of a park that I hunt.

It did make that area huntable at least.

I've had the 5 inch for a few years, got the 6 inch about 6 months ago and just recently went with the 6x8 SEF coil . . . . . all made a big difference in hunting trashy sites. The nice thing about the DD coils is you really do not loose much in detection depth vs a stock coil nut you do gain a great deal in separating trash from keepers . . . you will be surprised at some of the good targets you find at relativley shallow depths that had been masked with larger coils.

Let us know how you make out

The 6" coil worked great. I got it mainly because of Andy's article that I read in Western and Eastern Treasures ( Thanks Andy!! ) , and the fact that I wanted a smaller coil for the trashy sites that I hunt. I pulled out several wheaties , a 1947-D Silver Rosie , and a dateless Buffalo Nickel out of areas that I hunted hard with my Vaquero. I'm glad that I added it to my arsenal!! CoinShooter-Craig
