6" coil gets the job done

I put the CTX 6 inch coil to the test and it passed with flying colors. This is the take from two hunts at my famous picnic grove. The coins were coming slower with each visit with the larger coils so I decided to work some of the more trashy areas with the 6 inch coil to see what I might have missed. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at my results. I picked an area that is very trashy but did produce some nice old coins from previous hunts. I worked it really slow digging anything that would repeat in one direction. All of these finds had iron in the hole or in close proximity. Along with the silver I also found 10 wheats. Unfortunately I hit both the Barbers with the Lesche.

Nice finds! I think I better get myself a small coil, been kind of waiting for the 5x10 coiltek to come out and get some reviews before purchasing one though. I bet you find more too!

Yes I do and I very rarely scratch a target. In my own defense, these targets were in a very trashy area with multiple targets in the hole and one was loaded with small roots so not the best recovery conditions.

It always seems I can remove a ton of junk, nails, bottle caps, and clad without a scratch or nick, then I will hit the silver coin somehow...

Don't feel bad, I did the same across the reverse of a barber half !!
