5x8 dd coil

I just got my 5x8 coil and have to say I like it better than the 8.5x11. Find it easier to pinpoint and do not notice any difference in depth detection, not to mention much less chatty. Hunting a old Lions club park with lots of trash. Have been digging good hits but lots, and I mean lots of pull tabs. There was an awful lot of beer drinking I am guessing...lol. This is a large older park. Getting a little discouraged with all the trash but have picked up quite a few coins mostly clad. Having a good time hunting. Really like the 5x8dd.in this trashy area having much better luck with it. Wish I could find a hunting buddy. Quite new to the hobby, only my second year and still have a lot to learn. Happy hunting everybody.

Pull out most of that trash and good stuff using the 5 x 8, then go over it again with the 8.s x 11 you'll probably find even more....

That trash really has a serious masking effect when trying to use the larger coils.

I share that likeness for that 5 x 8 coil. It gives such a sweet high pitch signal for good targets. It's permanently planted on my AT Gold, which I use mostly for relics.
