Has anybody heard anything about the 5x8 coil covers, are they out yet or still on back order?:garrett:

Sprayed mine with bed liner, don't need no stinkin' coil cover....

I Also spray my coil bottoms and sides with bedliner...cheaper and easier to maintain...
I tossed the cover that came with my 8.5x11 in the woods in Liverpool, NY at Willow Bay on the West Shore trail at Onondaga Lake Park...If you can find it, it is yours...lol

HH,

I know a whole lot of really good detectorists don't use covers. Most who don't use covers say the coils are plenty tough and they've never ruined one with wear.

I do use one because I figure every detector I own will be a detector I sell someday and an unscratched coil increases the value of a used detector.

I'm disappointed Garrett didn't bring out a cover at the same time as the coil.
