5x10 coil feedback

Hi guys. Sending off my mono coil for repair and really will miss it. Was thinking of picking up a 5x10 infinium d d coil for the ATX. Anyone with thoughts about that v the mono would be interested. Guess I will gain "iron check". Any major depth difference?

I use the infinitum 5" x10" DD with the ATX, to be honest the 8" mono is deeper and more sensitive.

Auctually, you're better off using the stock DD its a great coil much more sensitive over the infinitum 5x10 coil use the stock coil until the 8" coil returns.

Cheers Paul. I came to that conclusion yesterday. Tried a 5x10 for a few minutes and lacked depth etc. Sent the mono on a FAST courier back to the USA!

I've come to the conclusion the 5"X10" Infinium DD is not really designed for the ATX, Although it works with the ATX it's really designed for the Infinium.

If Garrett was to redesign a 5"X10" DD for the ATX we would see added depth and have allot more sensitivity over the Infinium 5"X10" DD, Feel it would be beneficial for those wanting a smaller land DD or something a little bigger maybe a 7" X 12" DD....

The stock DD is a great coil, Garrett hit a home run with this coil it is both super sensitive and get's serious depth. A little too big for some land areas but over all a super coil, trust me this is one hot coil.

True....just heavy in the water with the shaft. Tempted to mod mine some more to make it track through the water better!
