What khz is it and what type of coil can be used with it ?

6,59 khz i believe ... the older blue max series is compatable with the 5900 , 6000 and also the xlt i believe,,, ive used the 9,5 in coil alot with good results.. this machine really loves copper.. just recently picked up a 5,3 in and a 15in blue max coil off this forum... been out a few times with the 5,3 coil ... did not think too much of it at first but i like it better now that i found a 10k ring with it in a very trashy park,, not much depth with the 5,3 coil but the target separation makes up for it.. i find if i set the disc between 5 and 6 i can work around trashy areas as the aluminum will usually have a little crackle sound to it but the coins wiil pop.. dont set disc over 6 or you will disc out the gold... havent had a chance to use the 15 in coil yet .. happy huntin,,

"bootyhoundpa" is correct.... that's a nice lil box you got.... pinpointing is the only challenge you'll have..... if you don't have a coil..... the ULC-950 that comes with the whites industrial models.... is the current replacement coil..... about 119.00 retail if i remember correctly...... my 6000 di pro/sl had no coil when i got it.... that's how i know.... good luck with it partner:biggrin:

Hi Joel

Just get the 5.3 BullsEye coil for it, it's the only coil you will need. With the 6 inch coil, you can turn up the signal balance more than you can with the stock 950 and not loose any depth.

The BlueMax and BlackMax 600 coils will also work as they are 6.59 Khz and only differ in color and decal. The 6 inch coils will let you work closer to trash and still get great depth.

I hope you enjoy the 5900........it is a good'n.

Randy
