Hi,
The kits were homebrewed by mrand in Poland.
He does not produce them any more, nor is he willing to disclose what components he used.
I highly doubt that you will find one at ebay since he only made very few of them and they were well sought after items that have all been installed in detectors by now.
Too bad,

I can't understand why whites did not put some tone ID on this great detector , If some polish guy in his spare room can design such a thing I would have thought it simple for whites to do. The mod looks brilliant .

I bought one hoping for the same type of audio performance I got from
my old teK Mark-1 but with better depth,I was disappointed and sold
them all...Lets face it! No one and even now No One can compete
with the Mark-1's Audio target Identification...

A former Whites engineer used to do this by appointment. He is retired and no longer will mod. the 5900. My partner had one and it worked very well.

Well the 6000 certainly has one of the best analog meters ever and have heard of several different ones for the 6000 but never the 5900. Unfortunately don't believe there are any more being made.
From what I understand from reading posts they worked well and made a good detector even better...

It is a shame White's couldn't come up with there own tone I.D. for the XL-PRO. If whites would have gave it just a 3 tone I.D. with modulated audio it would be one of there NO.1 selling detectors! It is still a great detector,But staring at the meter can get old if you are use to tone I.D. especially in trash.
