Thanks, for showing us this.

By the way your bird pictures are amazing! Keep up the good work.

Ive got to get one of those lenses! Maybe I could if Id quit buying metal detectors :)

Thanks... As for metal detectors I bought and sold so many in the past two years until I decided I only need two. My CZ 20 and Sovereign Elete. The CZ 20 with lifetime warranty and it's a hot one and the Sovereign Elete is a hot one as well. I've had the Sovereign GT the Excal and many others but these two seem to be the best for my type of hunting. Hope to get chance to go to the beach this weekend. It's been over a month since I've been and I think it's time for things to pick up . Again thanks for the nice comments.

Man that sure brings them close. I just picked up a Canon 70-200mm L, just waiting for it so can't wait to zoom in. Guess I'll need 1.4x next.

Tom,

I have a question.

How often are you all the way out at 500mm when shooting all those nice bird images?

Id like a longer lens and am looking at my options. I have 70-200 2.8L IS on my Canon 20D and can get the 1.4 TC that will give me almost 300MM. I can get the 2X to go to 400 but Ive read its not that good.

I would like a long fast prime or perhaps a lens like yours but dont have that kind of money to spend right now.

There a place near where I live where bald eagles are seen often. I had one watching me most of the day once while I was relic hunting, the one day I left my camera at home :( Id like to photograph them.
