505 w/10" coil?

ya good question ive been thinking about gettin one tooi like my 505 alot and have in three months found a lotbut a little more depth control would be nice like to hear some responces:yikes:

....but my pioneer 202 certainly benefitted from the 10" magnum coil. i got about 3" more on depth overnite, and a lot more coverage to boot. i think the 10" is the largest bh makes, so it's a good idea to have one in your arsenal anyway. hh!

10" WILL gain ya 2-3 inches of depth, and speed up your hunt, due to it's larger coverage area..."Go DEEP or Go HOME!!!"

HH,

The 10" doesn't come off. EVER! I don't even bring my 8" or 4" with me anymore. With practice you cant hunt the 10" in the trashiest of sites. The extra depth and coverage make the extra weight worth it. Learn to pinpoint and slowly work your way through the trash with the 10" and the 4" becomes a nice coaster. JJ

thanks for the fellow up ive ordered the 10.25 magnum coil form kelleyco hope there service is good and ill soon find out for my self may be ill find more silver and get stronger hits on the deeper targets iwant more 1800 coins the make me do the happy dance:starwars:

I may order one of these if my Land Star comes back from First Texas working again...Then I will have all 3 coils...Is there a DD that will fit the Bounty Hunters? I thought i heard someone say one off a F4 would work???

HH,

The Fisher F4 DD coil does work on the BH 505 and other BH models as well. Purchased the F4 that came with a 4" and DD coils as an upgrade for an RS 3300. Since found a used 505 and sold the 3300. The 505 has faster recovery than the 3300 and is close to the F4. The 505 is easy to master and the non-motion pinpoint is a real plus. The 505 is a worthy first or backup detector and the inexpensive BH 4", 10" and DD extra coil options make it a great buy.
