500 pound bomb/bell

In Sept. I saved this thing from the scrap heap. A base in Frankfurt closed down and we were sent to scavenge. I got some parts and tools for the shop and this home made bell for me. It was made years ago from a disarmed WW2 500 pound bomb and was used at ReinMein Air Base vehicle moterpool for years and years. When I was told it was going in the scrap pile I got a fork lift and got it down off of the hanger it had been on for years.Just something else for the wife to complane about:starwars:.LOL I still got to get this thing home to the states though. It weighs 174 pounds. HH :usaf:

I would give it to a museum in a heart beat. I think the thing is amazing but I also love history. My wife thinks it is the ugliest thing on earth.LOL I have it in our garage right now. :usaf:
