The other day I dug silver coin #48, a 1912 Canadian dime that was fairly worn and slightly bent. I thought it was a shame and wished it was in better shape, but was happy anyway. A few minutes later I dug silver coin #49, a nice 1945 Merc.
My goal for silver coins was to find 50, this being my first summer of detecting. Well, this morning I headed out about 6:30 to squeeze in a quick hunt before my wife and 22 month old daughter woke up for the day. I found two pennies right away, and then I found my 50th silver!!! Lo and behold it was another 1912 Canadian dime, and it is in pristine condition! I guess I got what I wished for. Metal detecting never ceases to blow my mind. I'll get pics up after I get my camera/computer problem fixed. Happy hunting!
