From the land of the Bluenose...whale...found one!
Marie had a doctor's appointment so I got her to drop me off at a park along the way. Was ill prepared for this expedition as the flying cannibals (black flies) were out in force. Swatting here and there while detecting along the stream I managed a few pennies and a few bites!

Enough was enough so I retreated to the swing area for some "R & R" from the front lines. No reprieve as I was buzzed constantly here also so I gave in and let them have a feed. Hope the darn things get alcohol poisoning!

Finally reinforcements arrived in the form of a shower which drove the Huns away. Of course this was not without incident as the rain caused me to do a little slope sliding which result in a minor injury cutting my knee open and ripping my favourite digging pants! Thank goodness my Garrett was not damaged!
End result for this sortie was a whale and 68 captives (coins) at $8.51. Marie came back for me and we hit the chow line at Tim's. She was pronounced fit for duty by the field doctor.
