50 coin day: found a Canadian Icon

From the land of the Bluenose...thought I'd go a hunting for a silver coin today and a dinkie...failed on both counts but hit a nice spot

The trail around the lake and dam was very scenic and I came across a spot where I found what appeared to be a tumulus and being one not to tempt fate nor providence I left it alone and went the other way. Might have jumped the gun on this one and it may have occurred naturally.

It was shortly after this that I found a Canadian icon!

Will get Marie to cut out the crest and sew it on my army camo jacket that I use for digging.

Then the rain came, and came and came some more. Got royally soaked (I really dont mind) and full of mud (Marie will mind) but I had my 50 coins and thought I could get home and put my clothes in the hamper before the boss got home and saw the mess! Even the breakie in bed would not sooth this ripple and I would end up in the fish hut till the cows came home. Ended up with 50 coins @$8.20, a set of car keys and an Old Spice ceramic bottle which brought back horrid memories of my first experiences shaving as a young man!
