50 coin day: "Button" up deer!

From the land ofthe Bluenose...after yesterdays jaunt down the South Shore this bouy was staying close to home. Brother-in-law Steve was busy stringing up another deer so I lucked out of having to give Goquickski a face lift plus a few more feds of deer meat coming my way. Not a handy man by any stretch of the imagination and not looking forward at all to sanding and painting the auto.

With Marie at her parents (I'm sure there will be shopping there somewhere...it's in the genes) I sprayed some WD40 on my sore joints and took off to Halifax to hit a field.

The day was a bitter one and I was glad I had two layers of clothing on. My old Garrett didn't like the weather too much neither till I refreshed her with a threesome of 9 volt Energizers then she purred happily as did I when this puppy popped out!

It has a crown on top of a stylized "R". Not being into the military stuff dont have a clue on it.

The dig progressed as did the worsening of the weather and to be honest was quite happy when the quota was met. Sitting here writing this post with an ultra large cup of hot chocolate to take the chill out of me. Total for the day was 50 coins @$3.56 including a USA wheatie and the button.

I dont think the button is militaria, Les, but then I dont know much about such tings either. Nuttin like a nice hunt in the raw cold to make you appreciate hot chocolate.

Glad you're meeting your quota bud. Don't envy you that cold weather but it ain't exactly summer time here. WE just broke the rain record for November.
