50 coin day: 6600th coin of the year dug today!

From the land of the Bluenose.....well it was a bitter one out there today and this bouy was well prepared to battle the cold. Thought the ground would be tougher but after the first half inch the old hunting knife just cut through it like melted butter as the wind did me. Great view from the school but the wind made digging a pain so I just took a dozen coppers from here and moved on to a more sheltered spot!

Still be there for a digging in the spring.

Returned to the area that I had dug the other week and found the silver St. Joe medal. Still froze me butt off and had some numb fingers to match the numb brain but had to get that 24th coin for 6600 for the year then my 50 coin quota. Besides................had the place to myself as no other idiot was outside in this cold.

Anyway did get 54 coins@ $7.93 and a dog tag and headed to Pete's for some romaine lettuce, garlic and meat. Ceaser salad laced with garlic should give Marie and I a good seat at the movie tonight. Going to see that one Mel Gibson directed.

Good looking pile of loot Les!! At least you were able to get out, cold or not. Gotta admire your pluck, that's for sure!! Apocolyto, or however you spell it, is a pretty darned good flick. I was tired after watching it, lotsa running!!!

Way to go Les!
