50 coin day: $22 plus 10k "O"

From the land of the Bluenose...well thought Friday the 13th was the unlucky day as I started the day by stubbing my toe on the bed post then cutting myself shaving and to top it all off showed up for work when I had a day off. Could have worked but have 89 hours in already for this fortnight and am working the next two days.

Got home and got Marie off to work then off to a campground that I do once a year. Leaves sure are some pretty this time of year as well as the water being a tad on the icy side!

Sort of wished I had this little lake puppy out for a cruise on such a great day.

Nevertheless it was hard going as the lakes bottom really didn't want to give up it's goodies and was like digging in cement at least till you got waist deep then things started a coming up in the seive. Wasn't too long before I had a pouch full of coins and this little 10k number.

Thought at first it was silver but upon closer examination saw the telltale 10k with the triangle with a 3 inside of it.

After that find I had my swishing fix and hit a playing field on the way home which added a kid's ring and a zipper. Stopped at 100 coins @ $22.64

Was thinking of hitting another spot for some oldies on the trip homeward till I saw that Goquickski's belly was on "E." Man o man she is a pig on gas and if she keeps on drinking like that she will turn into an oil tanker or a cement truck!

100 Coins, a 10K, an unexpected day off to enjoy a quickly evaporating fall season. Now that's a great day:bouncy:

Glad you enjoyed it, Les!!

Very nice Leslie. I think you do work too much though, my friend, when you show up and it is your day off!
Perhaps you need a vacation...bring the Duo Garretts to S. Carolina ...its nice this time of year and Charleston has some great spots.

I especially liked to hear about your "swishing" ** escapade.
Do you wear waders, or some other protective gear?"
What sort of detector do you use for the water?
How about your scoop and how far do you travel to wade?

** Here in the States, "swishing" has a whole different connotation, it seems, than in N.S. Those who "swish" describes folks of , well, "alternative sexual orientations."
