50.00 to much for a garrett hombre??

Bill, Garrett made the Hombre from 1964-1972. In 1964 it sold new for $189.50 I talked to Sue @ Garrett and she said "Boy thats an old one" she had to look in their book. She said if it does work it is a good bargain for 50.00 But also said if it doesnt they cant fix the old timers like that one. but that I would get more then 50.00 for it if I wanted to trade it in on a new Garrett.

Great. Will be interesting to see what it is. "Hombre" is a strange name for a detector. Now Tesoro uses a lot of Spanish names for their machines.

That is an oldie. I couldn't remember Garrett making that model but guess they did Is it a BFO or did you check?

Bill

BFO? I havent checked on it yet the guys phone has been busy everytime I tried to call him. Sue also said it would detect everything....the descrimination isnt very good on the old timers.

BFO's are like all metal, they detect everything in the ground. They emit a continual motor boat sound that increases in volume when you are over a target.
