5 Straight days of hunts..........kinda dismal, but I been busy!

Went for a solo spin, with the Excal on 07/21-22, from 715P-245A. Low tide had been at 423P, but I went anyway and winds were SW at 5-10. Many targets showed this hunt. Got $7.22 in clad, a ferrous hair berrett, a UTMB parking token, Rain Forest Cafe copper medallion, large & small non-ferrous hoop, small oval brass "Claire's" medallion, 3 heart shaped non-ferrous charms, non-ferrous ring swivel charm w/rhinestones, an unmarked non-ferrous St Christopher medallion and a .925 toe ring. Hard work, no gold!

Went again on 07/22, with the GQA2 from 5P-8P and was late for the low again at 457P 0.0L. Ended up with $1.50, 2 ferrous hoops and a .925 hoop. Was ran out by severe thunderstorms and no pic was taken of the nut, use your imagination. I was not very happy about my hunt getting cut short!

Returned on the 23rd, with the Excal and winds ENE at 5-10, turning SW 5-10 and a 533P -0.1L. Was late again and started the hunt at 445P, in the 1st surf area. Ended up with $.52 and a copper junker, I thought was gold (dang the bad luck) and left this area at 7P. Tried another area from 7P-845P and got $.83. Relocated and tried 9P-1015P and got $.93, once again no pic was taken, use your imagination. Frustrated......

Went for a spin with Huntress on the 24th. Spanky was already in the water and hunting when we arrived, with his Excal. The 1st surf area, we hunted from 5P-8P, through a 611P -0.4L and SSE 5-10 and I was running the GQA2. Ended up with $.82 in clad, 5 junk earrings (ferrous & non) and a copper bracelet chain.

We relocated and hunted from 8P-10P and I ran the Excal. Got my 1st Cagagewea(may have misspelled this)gold dollar! Total clad count was $3.69 here. Got 3 rings outa this hole, but only 1 keeper. 1 copper mood, 1 kids split non-ferrous junker and a .925. Got a .925 bracelet chain.

Went for a spin last evening, into a 650P -0.6L and S winds 5-10 and was running the GQA2. Was in the water by 415P and recovered $1.08 and left this area at 715P. This nut can be seen at the top of the page.

Relocated at 730P and hunted till 815P. Ran into coastwise and lcw and cw's daughter and couple of grandkids. They were going to stay on the island and hunt a few days. Tides are rough and above normal, for a while now, so I think they will be coming home soon! Got a few coins, at this location, but combined it with the nut in the lower part of the pic. Hunted the next spot, which was in the same area, but further east, from 815P-1030P, got 4 video game tokens and $2.75 in clad for the last 2 areas total. Gold has been hiding from me since 07-15 and I don't appreciate it!

Nothing but 'fooled ya' sparkly junk jewelry since the big diamond ring. Yesterday I got on a sun glasses hot streak finding 4 pair! Hey the law of averages will kick in here pretty soon.
