I'VE HAD MY ACE 250 SINCE THE END OF APRIL AND HAVE FOUND SOME NEAT THINGS. I HUNTED THIS BASEBALL FIELD TO DEATH BUT ONE DAY FOUND THAT THEY SCRAPED OFF ABOUT 4 INCHES OF DIRT ON A SMALL AREA TO MAKE A FENCED IN DOG AREA. SO I WENT BACK AND FOUND THIS 1835 HALF DIME. IT'S IN GREAT SHAPE AND I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW PUMPED I WAS.

Spectacular! You should be pumped for a while.
Great find. I hope your sucess continues like this
Good Luck

:usaflag:Wow...that thing looks like it was pressed yesterday...congrats !!

Nice find, I'd be pumped too:detecting:

Nice find and looks to be in great condition! That one could be worth several $. Congrats!

That's a really nice coin. Doesn't look like it was in circulation very long.
Looks like you were in the right place at the right time. It sure pays to
notice what changes are taking place where you hunt.
Good hunting to you !

Great find and looks to be in a good state of preservation. eBay has a few. One is an MS60 with a $389 buy it now price and your coin looks to be in a lot better condition.

WTG.....hh.....Dan

Congrats !! :clapping:
That is a sweet find for sure. In such a great shape. From the picture I say it as for sure EF and maybe a MS state. You need to have someone grade it for you.
2003 red book (all I have right now now) shows $110 in EF and $300 in MS 60. I think add $100 to that since book is old.

Does anyone have a 2010 red book??

Good job

Heck got a couple of barber and seated dimes just from new poles being put in parks. Congragulations best dug bust I ever saw...Sidewalks being replaced also got me a walking half, 1850 large cent large cent and two other seated dimes...Be aware if done professionally they remove a bunch of dirt to put ash in for drainage so follow the trucks and search the dumped dirt...
Now to get them to do the entire park:clapping:

I don't think a dug coin can possibly be MS anything.

That is a bitchin' find though I hope (dream) some day to find one.

Congrats
Jeff

I know what you mean,, but I dont know?? I think it is possible. Not likley ,but possible. I would like to see OP get this coin graded.

I found/dug a 1867 IH penny in EF condition. I was surprized for sure. I graded it myself and then took it to a dealer and he graded it the same. And then paid me accordingly for it.

Its free.

Fantastic Find....WTG!!! I was really disappointed a year or so when the small town where I was born tore up their sidewalks, but refused permission to metal detect there because of liability issues. Being alert really pays off.
