I did some snow detecting today in a very trashed out area I found wire rolls foil pennies nails where my pennies were found but they never set off the detector.I am wanting to know will a 5inch coil save me alot of unless time digging in trashed out lots with fill dirt.I am amazed with the amount of different junk in a yard.No good things yet just lots of wheat pennies I never seen so many wheat pennies make me think there is older coins in here if I can just get sometime on this XS,I am willing to get a 5" coil if one thinks it will help my 8" is on back order and this ten picks up everything deep and shallow.I am going to try backing the sensitivity down for tomorrows run in that junk field pit,I will beat it..lol...What was wierd is I dug and dug right beside a big tree into its roots and keep getting a high tone under the roots it must have been junk because it was reading just a little black on the depth screen.but there was low pitches mixed in there to.I did all kinds of things to block out my XS,went to learn blocked out the junk I ofund then accepted what I did fine plus added a new dime a quarter and my gold mens ring and what was ever under them roots still sang out.Never did find it.

rick i have yet to use a 5 inch coil but the sunray 8 inch is really hard to beat...im shure there is places the 8 inch will not work but i have yet to run into a place that trashy that i could not work it with the 8 inch ..u might try turning down your sensativity and working those trashy areas real slow and have fast on..as well as having a costume coin program saved..but the more trash u hit the slower u should go..if u are finding wheat backs u can bet there is some silver there ..just keep looking..i hope u got the optional snow plow attachment for that big e or is it on back order as well...bye the time u get it spring will be here lol....what is up with this west virginia weather it was 65 degrees last weekend and now there is 4 inches of snow on the ground..i have the sunray x-12 on the big e this weekend was hoping to try it out..guess i will get out the armor all and see how well that coil slides across the snow ..if u are having problems u can not solve just give me a ring and i might be able to help u out some ...hh..mark in ohio.and st.albans west virginia.

That X-12 I have one for the Big E and it pin points excellent and is not heavy and was worth every penny =)).

the stealth 5 is an excellent coil to add to your collection. ive got every coil sunray put out and coiltek and ill alway come to areas where the stealth 8 is just a little too big. most times ill have both the stealth 5 and the 8 in the trunk of my car.
