Well I ordered one from Kellyco and received it today. I was all ready to go try the thing out so I jumped in my car and went down to a local park only to find that the plug on the Exc. would not fit on my MXT. I was really dissapointed. The holes on the new exc. were made in a horseshoe pattern while the prongs on my MXT are not. Have to call KellyCo. Do any of you know if they are all like this or they just sent me the wrong one??? tks

Sounds like you got one for another brand detector. I have one and it hooked right up. Sorry to hear about your troubles, they will send you another I am sure , know that don't help much for now . <img src="/metal/html/sad.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":sad"> On the up side this little coil is worth the wait. One thing to remember in heavy trash, this coil like a very slow sweep speed. I have good luck in relic mode 0 disc trigger forward, forget the display and dig all high tones esp. around them old homesites, even a mixed signal with a broken high tone could be an old coin next to iron or partially covered by trash. This little coil shines in trash, don't over do it on gain , I found several wheat pennies at a measured 6 inches with the gain on 9. Good luck when you get it but do go slow.

Well I guess that is the case. <img src="/metal/html/cry.gif" border=0 width=40 height=15 alt=":cry"> I had this hunting trip all planned for this Sat. and just knew I'd have this coil to try out. I am anxious to see how it compares to The Eclispe mini dd coil. In my opinion that is one heck of a coil. I get very good depth and great discrimination with it.

TEK,
Call them when they open in the morning and see if it is any way they can get it out by ups tomorrow. Normally will things I order get here in 2 days. You may be able to pick it up at your local ups office when it arrives and you still may have it for your hunt.

JW has called me a couple of times today. They sent the wrong coil and he is going the big extra mile to get me the right coil. I work for a 'major' telephone company and have always been a stickler for ''good customer service'' something very hard to find these days. KellyCo has my vote!!!! This is my first time doing business with them but certaintly won't be my last. Customer service is at the top of my list in doing business. Thanks JW and KellyCo. theresa

I know that the little Mini Double-D is a very good coil. But for me, the 5" Excelerator is just a bit <EM>"gooder"</EM> and I wouldn't go afield without it!
