5 " excelerator coil

genecarer

New member
Hello,

I just received my small coil and did a bench test to see if it
meets the same as my 10 1/2 standard coil and it does.
My question for you who has used this coil: what settings should
I use.
My house is from 1838 and as mentioned before, my inside yard is landscaped with over 8 " of shore stones and has been a challenged
with my XLT and finally I gave up.
I have been testing my new exp 11 and finally yesterday,I went to my side yard w/o stones and dug an old tin coin/money, picture case
at 1 foot, 5 in with the large coil but there is so much trash, iron nails, hot rocks, junk that it took me some time pin pointing but I
did get it.
I will post a picture soon. This looked like it was in the ground for over 100 years and the cleaning took some time but when I opened it,
there were no coins and the old picture fell apart.
The ground is ready for picking so I will be out today with the 5"
coil but need advise.

thanks

I'd suggest you go at IM-16 and dig every signal, my other recommendation is to scan your yard with a grid pattern.

Ace,

Thanks, this small coil should eliminate most garbage but it is
time consuming. There is much in the ground and I live alongside
an Historic canal with 168 feet of shoreline where barges would
travel.
I have a spot on my property where an old building once stood near
the canal and old timers told me that barges would stop there for
supplies, etc. There is evidence in the ground that indicates it
was on fire at one time.
I will keep everyone posted on my finds.
