5" EXcelerator Coil

ED-NH

New member
I'm thinking about the 5" EXcelerator Coil for my EX11 while hunting trashy areas in the woods. Any thoughts, anyone ever used one of these?

Thanks,

Ed-

I have used this coil for about 3 years. Personally, I am sold on it. It is amazing the depth I get with it and pinpointing is awesome. I use it primarily in high junk areas especially where discrimination is difficult, in closed in areas and in the woods. It really moves well through high grass and debris. Last summer I stuck in inside several old tree trunks. In one I found an old shotgun but it was in pretty bad shape. It was also handy in an old abandoned house. I found an old railroad padlock and key inside a build-in corner cupboard. I never would have found it visually. The lock and key are pristine.

Hey Kestrel thanks for your comments. I am excited about getting one. I have an old site that you can't get near because of all the iron. I found a couple of "draped bust large cents" ya... the ones from 1796-1804. Mine were pretty crusty and could not pick a date off from either one. It is a really old site. I want to take my time and really pick near the rocks and inbetween the iron. I bet there is some silver in there somewhere.

It works great, and it goes DEEP, I've dug dimes @ 12" with a clear loud signal, it's VERY very stable and will work through very tight areas and along big metal structures. It's very lightweight, nicely built, durable and waterproof.
