5" Excelerator coil for GTI 2500

Has anyone ever used the 5" Excelerator coil for the GTI 2500 as I would like to find more rings and jewelry. I would like to know if it lives up to it's claims.

It's one hot little search coil.:hot: I've made some of my best finds with it.:garrett::detecting:
No imaging OR depth reading. However, it's deep for it's size. You can run high sensetivity. It get's very small targets very well.
It's water proof, but not submersible.
I like it, though.:wiggle:
Happy Hunting!:)

If I had to choose one or the other I'd stick with the 5"DD Excelerator.:thumbup:However, that 4.5" Scorcher ain't no slouch!:garrett::detecting:The Scorcher is submersible if ya ever plan on doin' any water huntin'. Another benefit of the Scorcher is that you can get closer to metal fences and playground equipment(poles and such)becuase it doesn't detect above the coil, so by tilting it down you can get close to metal structures and get the goodies that others have missed. Now, the Excelerator is deeper and has a broader search pattern at depth due to it's DD configuration. They're both great search coils, but as I stated, if I had to choose one it would be Excelerator.:wiggle:
Best of luck to ya, whichever you decide to go for!:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)
