5 COPPER DAY AND MY OLDEST COIN

Got permission for an abandoned house in town that had trees down from a storm. Trees were cut while in Alaska, I went there at 6am to mow the lawn so I could detect. Glad I did. This was the same property I found the Auctori Connec.
First signal in the gravel drive was the 44 merc at 5". In the front yard found the 1700 William III half penny.

Not far from that the 1837 Bank Of Montreal one penny token in great shape, solid 12/45, the thing is the size of a silver dollar.

In the gravel driveway 6" down found the 1812 LC very nice condition.

Near the end of the driveway got the 1797 Draped Bust only 4" down then came the smooth KG.

The home is on a hill very dry well drained soil, the coins were all in decent shape with little cleaning needed. The Montreal token will go with my 1844 half penny from yesterday. This was my best copper coin day yet.
Thanks for looking.
Jon

Here is the front of the Canadian bank token.

That's a hot day of digging. :clapping:

Awesome I need that kind of day

Outstanding day of copper digs. I've found a couple of the Canadian Bank Tokens....but nothing that looks as nice as those your finding! Well done. HH Randy

All I can say is WOW!

That soil is kind to the coppers. The Wm III is a beauty, and the Classic Head is a rare find in that condition! I've found a few Wm III and Wm and Mary coppers, but they don't even come close to yours.

Superb!!!!!

The condition of those coins is unreal! Its nice you can volunteer to mow in exchange for the detecting time too. Is there more ground to cover yet?

Steve, there is some back and side yard yet to work, I've seen the majority of the goods in these older homes come from front yards so I'm not hoping for much. There is a bit more driveway, TOUGH digging, coins are below the gravel in the old compacted soil. I will let you all know, I've had my eye on this spot, asked permission, we got a bad storm and 90% of the yard was covered in downed trees. Its the same yard I got the Auctori Connec colonial copper in a small patch of open ground. AWESOME yard, crappiest looking house in town. Figures...HH Jon

Wow VT that is one heck of a site to detect! I look forward to seeing more great finds from it.

You disgust me!

Road trip to Vermont to find some coppers. Bring Dirt Diggler and I'll schedule some properties.

WOW! A 5 copper day! I've had days with 2 and even one with 3, but never 5 early coppers in one day. Way to go!

As soon as I can afford it Dirt Digler and I will be headed that way!

That is one heck of a driveway - paved in coppers! Super great day, love it when a plan comes together:clapping:
