5.75 Widescan Vs Concentric?

Beale

New member
I am thinking of buying a small coil for my Vaquero. I do not relic hunt, and live in central NC. We have some real nice red clay for soil. Which of these 2 coils would be the best fo general all round hunting? Thanks in advance, Beale.

I'd choose concentric. DD is good in higher mineral areas, which you are not. Easier PP too.

[size=large]Excellent separation in trashy sites, better depth of detection, and better/easier pinpointing. Let's not forget it will provide better discrimination qualities compared with a wide-scan design as well.

I would also recommend the concentric coil in your situation. You will be surprised at the depth you will get with this coil.

Thanks for the advice. I really did not know the real difference in the 2. I think I will put it on my list for sure, Beale.

I also purchased the concentric coil and I just dug up a dime that was 7.5" down and the machine was ringing solid & loud.
