5.75" widescan coil.... anyone using it?

I just got a 5.75 widescan coil for my Vaquero and was wondering how it compares with the 5.75" concentric coil.
I also have the concentric which I like and use mostly.
I am also wondering if the widescan gives a double beep on targets close to the coil.
I haven't set it up on my detector yet as I am waiting on an extra rod for it.
I know most prefer the concentric coil, but I thought that maybe some were using or have used the widescan coil.
Thanks in advance for any replies,
Felix

I have one on my Tejon. Havnt even used the standard concentric coil that came with it. It is very sensative, has great depth for its size, and I have no problems pinpointing with the toe or heel of the coil. The ground here is constantly changing in mineralization, so i ordered the widescan when I bought the Tejon. It runs very smooth and stable. Hard to compare to the standard coil since I havnt even used it. I do have a cibola with the same concentric coil, and I must say that my finds have increased with the Tejon/5.75 widescan combo. Not sure if thats due to the Tejon or the 5.75, but , ive found coins in areas I had already searched with the cibola. All in all, Im very happy with the 5.75 widescan, I dont see myself taking it off the Tejon! Just an awesome combo! Probobly going to sell the concentric coil that it came with and get the 10x12 widescan for the less trashy areas!

Hello, I just got a used Tejon and it came with the stock coil and the small widescan coil. The little coil is excellent in the trashy places where I detect most of the time. After using Whites machines for many years, the Tesoro is nice...Light and super sensitive. It's great to not look at a screen, just dig the signals you get. I really like the litttle widescan coil, alot. Good luck everyone.
