5.75 coil?

New member
I'm needing help in making a decision between a 4" and the 5.75" coil. I have an older tesoro bandito umax operating at 12 hrz.
How does the 5.75 coil perform in depth and thrash on a bandito umax? I'm needing help in making a decision between a 4" and the 5.75" coil.

I, and everyone else I know who uses a Tejon, use a 5.75 coil. On the Tejon it work's very well in trash. Personally, I do not think you will gain much by going smaller than 5.75. Some of the places I hunt are terribly trashy with both square nails and iron ore. The 5.75 handle's it all like a champ.

IMO, anything smaller would stand a chance of missing targets just because you may not overlap in your swing. That would bother me, using a coil that small, that's almost like detecting with a pinpointer.

Go with the 5.75, you will be happy!
If you are anywhere near NW GA, you can try mine.
