5.75 coil tesoro coil for Cibola

CubFan

New member
What would be a fair price for a used, supposedly in excellent condition, 5.75" concentric coil for a Cibola? They run around $105 new. Also, for those who have one, are they worth the money over the standard coil? And one last one, which would you prefer, the 5.75" coil or the 12x10 (does the latter go that much deeper?) I relaize they are for different situations.

Well worth the money!! Don't leave home without it!! You will be amazed what it wll pick up!!!!!!! hh kd

I sold a brand new never used one for $89.00 with free shipping, you can view it here http://www.findmall.com/read.php?44,695595 The small coils are great in trashy area's. Steve.

I got a bairly used 5.75 concentric coil for my Vaquero for $70.
Richard at Back Woods Detectors sold it to me. Good guy.

I have a 12X10 for my uMax detectors.

The 5.75 concentric coil is what I use most. I use a 7" coil a lot also.

The 12X10 works best for open areas and lends it self to relic/artifact
hunting. Depth is increased more on objects larger than coins.

The 12X10 gets about an inch more on coins, but considerably more
on larger objects.

I felt at a disadvantage until I got my 5.75. That is how important it is
for me to have one on my machine.

My thanks to Richard at Back Woods Detectors.

HH,

the 9x8 20% deeper!if the area is not really trashy dont put the 575 on!
especialy not on cibola becase the factory gb preset is for the 9x8!

I put a 5.75 coil on my Cibola. Hardly ever took it off.

I was hunting with D-2 and he saw me dig well over a foot
to retrieve a small piece of steel wire. I was almost to my
elbo when I decided to take a break.

D-2 came over to help, but the last hand full of dirt contained
the target. I said to D-2. " I told you this 5.75 would go deep "

He looked at my find, shook his head, and said.
" You need to set your discreminator higher "....LOL

The 5.75 did not seem to loose much depth on coins either.
I dug coins so deep, I was reluctant to claim it on the forum,
for fear people would not believe me.

The 5.75 is more sensative to small objects. That's a must
for me. That's where I get my gold jewelry finds. The 5.75"
concentric or 7" concentric is a must for my style of hunting.

The 7" goes pretty deep all so. But I have found deeper targets
with the H.O.T. 5.75 concentric coil. It is a great coil.

HH,

In my experience, unless you are strictly a relic hunter, you'll get a lot more use out the stock and smaller coils than you will a larger one. Larger ones are near useless in trashy areas like parks, are heavier to swing, often harder to pinpoint with and most of the time the coin and jewelry,. misc whatever hunter just doesn't need one. Get the 5.75. My two bits.

Overall, I use the 5.75 coils the most. Good depth and separation in trashy areas.
I tried one and liked it so well, I got both the concentric and wide scan for the H.O.T machines, and had to get a 5.75 for the other uMax series.
