this was a badd day all was against me when i got to the spot it started to drizzle and just got worse i was full of mud and the detector was on the verge of getting to wet so i went back to the car , and waited and then tried again then the battery went dead , I took it as a divine sighn to just let it go for today and went home . I ran it at 9 gain and GB NEG got good depth . found the fancy brass thing and another brass thing and some copper wire and some Iron not shown but just from the brass coming out it shows me the potential is good for finds.

do like the fancy brass thing. even though silver coin is nice. i would enjoy digging up that than a roosevelt dime though.

Like the brass thingy too. Were you trying the one quarter turn neg on ground balance like scannerguy showed on the Vaq video? If so was there a difference in depth?HH

metal fun that is exactly what i was doing , but i found that you do not need such high gain when using negative GB i get a cleanersignal with less gain in my ground like 8 or 9 but yes it works and it also works on the silver umax and that also like gain between 7 and 8 for best results cuzz the signal gets clippy if i use to much gain.

Pretty neat, you know there has to be some good stuff there...................

Gunnar,

I have days just like yours. In fact, we all have them in one form or another. Keep hitting this old lot as there IS more there. Just have to get your coil over the goodies. Keep hammering this lot (just like with the gophers :starwars:)- Jimmy
