5.3 Eclipse or 5 in. Excelerator?

I am looking to get a smaller accessory coil for my Whites M6. My main hobby is coin/jewelry hunting. Does anyone know the difference between the two regarding depth and target separation? Also, is the 5 in. Excelerator coil a cocentric design or DD design? Thanks to anyone that can help!:confused:

In very heavy trash the 5" EXcelerator will give you better target separation from almost every angle and should respond to more targets especially using 0 disc. The 5.3 Eclipse should provide better target id on deeper targets but will suffer a bit more from masking if trash is too heavy. The 5" EXcelerator is a DD coil. HH Bill

The 5" private Kellyco Labeled Excelerator Coil is a double D so the Left to Right Separation is better than the White's 5.3 Eclipse which is a concentric design.

Both loops have their advantages.

The White's 5.3 Eclipse Concentric
* Depth Advantage
* Quieter under power lines
* Will Tag Good Targets under bad ones better

Excelerator 5"
* Double D smooths the mineral more
* Smallest Footprint, an advantage in trashy areas
* Increased Sensitivity on small jewelry.

Also: My Choice however would be the White's 4x6 Shooter. If you want a 9" Window, with the MOST sensitive hit on targets, the Jimmy Sierra Hot Foot, a 2x9" and HOT on the Tip... you can also use the tip as a pin pointer in most plug.

5.3 Eclipse for general hunting applications. But I like the 5" Double-D (wide scan) Excelerator coil for the nastiest of trash environments.

The 5.3 Eclipse is a 6
