Went back to the construction site hoping to get a whole day to work this multi-block area. Turns out that between the drought and the fact that they compacted the bare dirt for paving, made for a challenging and frustrating hunt. Not many high tone targets left from a retiree detectorist that hits this spot almost daily. I know there's more relics under that ground, but I think I'm too late to get at them. Oldest coin this time was a 1917D cent. Did find a dateless Buffalo nickel. Found a Mrs.McCormick's Beauty Cream thimble, an early green Tootsietoy car, a toy monoplane, a couple of 10ga shotgun shells, the smallest harmonica reed I've ever seen, pocket watch parts, a Model T grease cap, a 50 caliber bullet, a lead tailor weight, a lead RR car seal, and my favorite find; the 1932 Texas chauffeur license.

good finds, really good...

I really like the Knives you got, I can still hear the guy yell when he lost it !!!

Good finds, you got a whole display board in one hunt!

Wow, what finding complex! I can recognise only by the coins that you have found them all in the US. In Germany the findings after a successful day look similar.

Best wishes, J

Nice finds 407floyd!! So far I've been lucky enough to dig 3 Texas Chauffeur's Licenses - a 1932 (which I gave to my hunting buddy who was born in '32) a 1935, and a 1936. Anything TEXAS is a good find, Congratulations! Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!
