4x6 "DD"

Just tried out the 4x6 DD coil. Wanted to hit an area just on the outskirts of a ball field but it was to busy for a couple games going on. A couple parks were real busy with folks. Weather is the big factor here - folks want out.
So I decided to hit a small school that has 3 tot lots. Didn't find a thing around the equipment - nothing! Someone must have really cleaned up the area. So I ran the sensitivity way down and tried popping the coil underneath the equipment and between the poles the best I could to see if I could pick something left. Whoever been cleaning up at least left me some foil, tabs, erasure holders, a valve stem cap, a couple whatzits, a lighter, $4.78 in clad, and a 1986 Jamaica 10c coin. It was in the rock hard dirt below the bark material. I think whoever been cleaning up the lots either wasn't able to work as close under the equipment, or wasn't popping on some signals left. It was tough somewhat.
Now here's the kicker - I took one of the grand daughters and her neighbor friend. While they were playing on the equipment I was detecting, the neighbor girl found $40.00 (2-twenties) wadded together up on a play platform:blink: I told her "good for you" - yeah she had to rub it in all the way home:punch:
Anyway, I think the 4x6 did it's job under conditions that were not the best. I still want to get it out away from the tot lots in some trashy areas.
Here is the Jamaica coin - looks like I hit it chopping away in the rock hard dirt. Not much but besides the clad and stuff, the 4x6 was fun to try.

Good job with the 4x6 ;-)

It takes time to learn to slow down with the little coil.

Good Luck

Jerry

I agree, Jerry. Most people tend to speed up their swing as they go. Consciously force yourself to develop a permanent slower swing and you will give the machine every chance to respond with a signal of a deep target present.

I have the 4X6 from when I owned the DFX, but, haven't tried it out yet. Looks like you did fine getting in tight around all the equipment.

Any day you can get out to hunt is a good day!!!:clapping:

Every year I'm getting slower, so swinging the coil slower is fine for me. Not in no hurry for sure. Have to go slow for trash areas anyways.
Ran the filter down to 5 for the slower swing - more like my speed.
