4th hunt with CTX

Today was my fourth hunt with the 3030, and I found my second Barber dime of all time. Let alone both Barber dimes were with the 3030. So in 4 hunts I have found 2 silvers about 5 wheaties, tons of clad and a few relics. The Barber was 5-6" down and came in at 12.44, right on the money. When I saw this coin pop out of the hole, I screamed. I couldnt believe my luck, this machine is the best!

Now for some help. I notice while in coin mode or any other mode, I will be swinging and I notice the display shows a target, sometimes a good target like 12.44-46. But there is no sound. Is this a false target or is there something in the ground? It happens quite a bit with good VIDs and bad ones. Now my second question is how do I get more depth out of the machine. Seems most of the targets are around 5-6". Is there settings I can tweak to get deeper?

My first hunt with the 3030 and I captured this.I know it looks like there is no detail but it is in great shape. I just couldnt get a good angel with the camera. -

Yes there is a tweek. This is working great for me and my hunting partner as well as jimzilla.
Set your gain to 30, and turn deep on. Those 2 tweeks made all the difference in the world.
Give it a shot and let me know if it helped.

The three barber I have got so far came in at 12/41 nice finds :twodetecting::minelab::cheers:
 
vanbibr, I tried the tweaks and I was getting much deeper signals, but none of thos signals were anything good. But the CTX was definetly finding deeper targets. thanks.

You're welcome. If the deep silver is there, the CTX will find it.

Nice pair of Barbers there - I did my best to coax one out of an old park yesterday - but to no avail:confused:
 
Thanks, they are tough little buggers to catch. I went back to the one park today and had no luck.
