45 minutes gives a hand full of relics...

A quick 45 minute hunt with a friend today yielded some nice relics. Called my friend and asked if he wanted to detect, said he was studying for an exam, college student, but could use a 1 hour break and that

Congrats on the hunt Mike! You did very well for such a short time! I really like seeing the old stuff, Beale.

Wow what great finds for only 45 min. What a nice assortment of relics. Does the ring have any marking on the inside?

Nice finds.

I don't know anything about bullets but that one looks like it might have a copper jacket lead core?

You have reminded me a my shortest hunt. Last May on a foggy windy day. I went out more or less for a walk and to check out one spot, before supper. My house is at one end of a centuries old trail between to towns which are on opposite sides of a hill about 2 miles apart. I walked for 20 minutes to get to the top of the hill and swung for 20 minutes and went home. It was so windy I could barely hear the detector, and cold. I found a brass hook, a dropped musket ball and a 1876 Newfoundland 5c silver coin which in good condition is worth $100!

Marking or no marking still a real nice find along with all your other finds. I think your right about the ink well top, I have a very old pewter ink well from mid 1800's looks the same. We all should be so lucky for a 45 min hunt...
