Went for a short hunt with the m6 to a soccer field man the grass was tuff but i found 7 qt's 2 dms 4 pnny's and a 2010 soccer pin and i l=also used my bonus bucks- to buy, and ive read a lot of monte;'s post to get the 5.3 (6x6) round coil total cost $64.95-- so im interested in how it works, i was going to get the 6x10 DD but monte's got the know how so i went with the 5.3, i guess ill find out Z

Congrats on the M6, that is an excellent detector. It will shine on the playing fields for sure and you'll be amazed how you'll do as you learn the tones.

Nice finds congrats on a great hunt . The 5.3 is a great coil as monte said I use to have one for mine but sold it after I sold my first M6 but missed the M6 so much I went and got another one and still use it . I had the 6x10 that everyone loves so much but it wasn't very suitable for me didn't seem to get as deep as some of my other coils did . My favorite coil is the 8x6 SEF coil and the 4x6 was great also but I am trying a 5 inch Excelerator DD coil I just got awhile back but don't have a opinion on it yet as I haven't used long enough yet. Anyway the 5.3 should work great for the sports fields your detecting at good luck and good hunting .

I am a jewelry hunter. I am armed with an MXT and 5.3 coil. I have many other coils, but the 5.3 out performs the others by 200%. It very seldom comes off the detector. It gets outstanding depth, with dime size gold pendents at 7" and a silver ring at 11" to it's many credits. It is the jewelry hunters best friend.

Not liking the DD's much and none of the elliptical coils, but having an occasional need for a super sniper coil, I bought a 5" exceleretor 2 .
This little coil is great. It pin points like a rifle shot, VDI's very close, has tremendous separation of close targets, and my deepest find so far, was at 6". That is pretty impressive depth for a 5" coil. My ground varies between 57 and 67. Very mild.

Anybody looking for a great alternative to the elliptical coils and has a need to cherry pick really high trash areas, would not go wrong with this coil.
But beware, it cannot pass up a bottle cap.
