And also a '69 half!
No, not with a high end detector. All in one cash drawer at work. I forked over 5 bucks and got 'em all. Ask the clerk about them and she said
some scummy guy cashed them in. It really annoyed her because she had to count them all twice. She added that she refused to accept
the foreign dime though. Foreign Dimes? Turns out the foreign dimes had some dude on it with wings on his head.
Still. $4.50 for $45.00 worth of silver is a good day's find if ya ask me.!!!

Find out who it was and offer him a reasonable price for any other silver he has. He must need cash and it is likely that he still has Mercs, quarters and halves. I wouldn't cheat the guy, but if you gave him 6 or 7 dollars on the dollar, he would be much better off and you would still make a handsome profit.

When I dug my first Barber dime, ( a real pretty one), I showed it to some of the people I work with and one of the girls from the bank next door came into the store. I showed her and asked her if the bank ever got any coins like it. She said "No, we (the bank) don't except foreign coins." Makes you wonder.

Take care, Dave

A few years my mother in law was working at a corner store a guy came in spend $ 4.80. Pull two dimes out the roll put them in hie pocket and gave she the rest of the roll. All were silver.

About ten years ago i was in line at Walmart and a man was trying to pas 4 $ 2.00 bills 3 were the 1976 series the last one was different. The cashier was a teenager and she was looking at these 76 bills ware red are some then when she saw last one it blew her mind. I got all four for $10. The last one was a 1924 series. I ask my wife to check into it . She sold it for a $100.
